ADMISSION
If the school's enrolment and admission numbers have not been reached the school will enrol all the children whose parents wish them to attend. The Board of Governors will apply the admission criteria only where there is over subscription for :
  a. places beyond the physical capacity of the school,
  b.  places beyond the admission number for Primary I

or

c. places beyond the maximum class size.
Admission Criteria
P1 intake
The following criteria will be applied in order by the Board of Governors in selecting pupils for admission to PI in September. Priority will be given to children of compulsory school age.
(The maximum size for a PI class will be 30)
1. Preference will be given to those children with a brother/ sister (half-brother/sister) either currently in attendance at the school, or with a brother/ sister (half-brother / sister) who will be in attendance at the commencement of the next school year.
2. Preference will be given to children on the basis of proximity of their home to the school, ie those children whose home is closer to this school than any other controlled primary school (as measured by die nearest acceptable walking route).
3. Preference will be given to children who previously had a brother / sister (half-brother / sister in attendance at the school).
4. Preference will be given to compulsory school age children from other areas.

P2 - P7 intake
The above criteria for admissions will only be applied in the event of over-subscription. In line with the overall capacity the ideal size would be 28, but in practice a range of sizes from 22 to a maximum of 30 will operate in Key Stage 1. Key Stage 2 classes will not exceed 33. No pupils will be admitted beyond the school's physical capacity as determined by the Department of Education.
General , Sub - Criteria
Should over subscription arise in any one of the above criteria, preference will be given to children who live closest to the school, as measured by the nearest acceptable walking route.
