The development of Bandawe Girls' Secondary School is so important. Girls have a right to education and it is wonderful to see many working so hard.

The Teaching staff includes the Head teacher (Mr Ng'oma) Mrs Nkhana (Deputy head teacher), and 7 other members of staff. There are 2 teachers from PCI (Presbyterian Church in Ireland), Michelle Evans and Rosalind White. Provision of teaching staff has been a major problem at school because the school does not have accommodation. They are living in borrowed premises at present and the rent is very expensive. Currently one teachers’ house is being built. The hope is for many more as the school develops.

There are a number of on going projects - Girls' hostel, Home Economics Lab, Teachers House, Toilets and plans for a Night Secondary School and plans for more teaching blocks in the future.
