When a
visitor flies into Belarus they are immediately struck
by the vast expanses of virgin forest which have
remained, as they now are, for centuries. This
incredible resource has been lost to many areas of the
world but in Belarus its potential is seen and it is
protected.

Travelling from Minsk to Mozyr, a distance of over 300
kms one appreciates the vastness of the forest area.
It is this resource we wish to utilise for the
benefit of all. |

The potential for the forest
project was recognised by a few people in Belarus assisted by many both
inside Belarus and internationally.
The project will have two distinct entities i.e. the development of a
"ground area" with amenities for eco-tourism and an area of forest
dedicated to the preservation and conservation of fauna and flora.
Although the entities will be advanced separately their development will
be closely linked.
Originally, the need to protect the European Wolf was a main focus,
this is still important however we were encouraged to adopt a more
holistic approach.
The aims and objectives are diverse but hopefully with the correct
promotion and networking this project will develop and be brought to
fruition by the many individuals and organisations now interested.
The company Zagrai would like to thank all who have contributed to
date especially the encouragement proffered by the patrons.
