NPI is set out to spearhead demand driven, participatory and action-oriented research to address some of Uganda’s daunting problems particularly in themes of peace, conflict resolution and development Research will be carried out in different parts of the country depending on the requirements of the problem and project at hand and will engage local communities, development agents, local government leaders, civil society etc in a participatory approach whilst identifying social-economic, ethnic, political-legal, and other structural, triggering and accelerating conflict factors critical for policy making.
